Optimizing Port Operations: Synchronization, Collision Avoidance, and Efficient Loading and Unloading Processes

نویسندگان

چکیده

This study focuses on optimizing the loading and unloading processes in a port environment by employing synchronization techniques collision avoidance mechanisms. The objective function of this research aims to minimize time required for these tasks while ensuring efficient coordination safety. obtained results are compared with previous studies, demonstrating significant improvements overall performance. synchronized handling systems, including gantries cranes, along speed control measures, facilitate streamlined operations, reduced delays, enhanced productivity. By integrating strategies, achieves better terms task completion methodologies, thereby validating effectiveness proposed approach.

A New Approach for Sequencing Loading and Unloading Operations in the Seaside Area of a Container Terminal

Due to the considerable growth in the worldwide container transportation, optimization of container terminal operations is becoming highly needed to rationalize the use of logistics resources. For this reason, we focus our study on the Quay Crane Scheduling Problem (QCSP), which is a core task of managing maritime container terminals. From this planning problem arise two decisions to be made: T...

Two-machine robotic cell considering different loading and unloading times

In this paper, the researchers have investigated a Concatenated Robot Move (CRM) sequence problem and Minimal Part Set (MPS) schedule problem with different setup times for two-machine robotic cell. They have focused on simultaneous solving of CRM sequence and MPS schedule problems with different loading and unloading times. They have applied a Simulated Annealing (SA) algorithm to provide a go...

Efficient task scheduling based on theoretical scheduling pattern constrained on single I/O port collision avoidance

Most distributed computing applications require an effective scheduling algorithm to distribute and assign client’s tasks running on a set of processors. The existing algorithms assumed that the scheduled tasks can be simultaneously and ideally sent and received from the processors without any latent delay. However, this assumption is obviously impractical and unrealizable due to lack of consid...

Safe Autonomous Agent Formation Operations via Obstacle Collision Avoidance

In this paper, we consider the problem of flocking and shape-orientation control of multi-agent systems with inter-agent and obstacle collision avoidance. We first consider the problem of forcing a set of autonomous agents to form a desired formation shape and orientation while avoiding inter-agent collision and collision with convex obstacles, and following a trajectory known to only one of th...

Collision Avoidance Operations for LEO Satellites Controlled by GSOC

The German Space Operations Center (GSOC) is currently building up an operational proximity monitoring and mitigation system. Proximity events are detected based on the “Two-line Elements” (TLEs) and precise orbit information from locally operated missions. Despite evident deficiencies in the quality and timeliness of the available orbit information, TLEs are currently the only source of orbit ...
